Our Mission

When we started out, our mission was to make money by algorithm-driven speculation on the sports results futures markets (or, to put it more plainly, clever betting) . The idea of making a few extra quid/euros/dollars a week in a few minutes seemed very appealing! Being number crunching nerds, the idea seemed fairly simple. Use the stats from past sports events to work out, on the balance of probabilities, what is most likely to happen in future events. Open a betting account, invest a little money on the most likely outcomes, and watch the money roll in.

That was a few years ago. The journey has not been that easy, and has involved a lot of learning. We tried horse racing first, but for various reasons, it turns out that that’s an extremely complicated one to forecast well. So we turned to football, because the league structure makes the stats a lot more manageable, and now we have developed a set of algorithms that is looking extremely promising. We have now been running it over the last 14 months, working through online accounts, and the results so far are looking good.

So, the plan is to use this site to share just a few of of what look like the best value investment opportunities on the UK football leagues. For now, it will just be the tip of the iceberg, until we can find a way of monetising our algorithm (currently we are placing a lot of bets ourselves, and having a lot of fun!). Anyway – watch this space for latest news, thoughts and some analysis of upcoming games.

Incidentally, if you are wondering about the algorithm, all we’ll say for now is that it uses a rather complex and niche kind of AI that most people have never heard of. That’s it for now!
